However, the house renovation works at that time was in turmoil and it was obvious that no interior plans had been drawn up and certainly lighting and electrical plans were not to be seen! The builders were working without a defined plan for the whole bungalow!
I suggested that the lighting and electrical plans should be drawn up first, and then I devise a schedule of works. I organised the builders and provided tight plans to work to. This also ensured they complied with building control, fundamental in any building project.
I eventually took over the design and project management of the bungalow, and worked closely with the build team. There was a lot of structural work and lots of careful detailing to be done. As the client wanted a very clean and modern look, attention to detail and careful specification was vital.
The house is now very light and the space flows really well, forming a bright and modern family home, very close to the city centre.
